Unlock the Power of Metal Casting for Your Projects

Metal casting is a versatile process where molten metal is poured into molds to create durable, complex parts—well-suited for industries such as automotive, healthcare, heavy equipment, and consumer products. At Spectron, our casting services are backed by ISO-certified processes and rigorous quality control, ensuring reliable performance in every part.

Key Benefits of Our Metal Casting Services:

Precision & Efficiency: Achieve wall thicknesses as thin as 0.04″ with high-pressure die casting.

Material Expertise: Versatile casting capabilities across ferrous and non-ferrous alloys to match your project’s exact requirements.

Scalability: We match the right casting process to your project requirements at every stage of production – from prototypes to mass production.

Quality Guaranteed: Comprehensive inspections with CMM, radiographic testing, and certified material analysis.

High-Pressure Die Casting

We produce aluminum and zinc parts by injecting molten metal into steel molds at pressures of 1,000–20,000 psi. This process enables thin walls, tight tolerances, and smooth surfaces—ideal for components such as automotive housings, transmission cases, heat sinks, and electronic enclosures.

Examples/Applications:

  • Engine brackets and transmission cases for automotive.
  • Heat sinks and connectors for consumer electronics.
  • Minimum wall thickness: 0.04″ for zinc and 0.08″ for aluminum alloys.

Why Spectron: Robust H-13 steel tooling, specializing in low to mid-volumes, and seamless integration with CNC machining and other secondary operations.

Permanent Mold Casting

Permanent mold casting uses reusable steel molds and gravity-fed molten metal to produce consistent, high-strength parts with excellent surface quality. This process is ideal for industries requiring high-quality parts with excellent dimensional accuracy, such as automotive, agricultural, and industrial manufacturing.

Examples/Applications:

  • Pump housings and valve bodies for industrial equipment.
  • Consistent, high-strength parts with improved dimensional accuracy over sand casting.
  • Tooling lead time: 4-6 weeks.

Why Spectron: Spectron uses a bottom-feed injection system where molten metal is pushed upward into the die cavity, filling it smoothly and reducing the chances of porosity and other defects.

Investment Casting

Using wax patterns and ceramic shells, investment casting (lost-wax process) produces intricate, near-net-shape parts with exceptional detail and accuracy. This process is ideal for components requiring fine features, complex geometries, and tighter tolerances than sand or permanent mold casting can provide.

Examples/Applications:

  • Turbine blades and impellers for aerospace.
  • Surgical tools and implants for healthcare.
  • Design requirements: Very little geometric limitations

Why Spectron: High-precision ferrous investment castings with minimal draft, Ra 125 surface finishes, and reliable 3–4 week lead times.

Sand Casting

Sand casting is a flexible, cost-effective process that uses sand molds to produce large or complex parts. It’s especially well-suited for low- to mid-volume production and heavy equipment applications where strength and scale are critical.

Examples/Applications:

  • Brackets and housings for heavy equipment.
  • Tractor chassis and engine components for agriculture.
  • Typical tooling lead time: 4 weeks

Why Spectron: With low tooling costs and the ability to produce complex components of various sizes, our sand casting process is ideal for both prototype and production quantities.
